¡Escandalo! Yesterday news broke that
William Levy and his wife of 8-years Elizabeth Gutierrez were separating. Queee? Fer realz? Yes. Was William caught cheating? Was it with a teenager? Maite Perroni? JLo? A man?!?! Let's look into this.
William definitely cheated. We know this because Elizabeth's official press release is tactful but telling:
Insistent rumors aside, I've always stood next to William because back then I never had a reason to doubt the strength of our union. I have decided to end this relationship for the well-being of my children and myself. I must confess this wasn't an easy decision, but as a person, a women and a mother, I owe myself respect.
"Back then"??? It's crystal-clear, mijas — William cheated!
Let's look at some of the reasons why this may have happened
1) Maite Perroni & 40 Other Women
The ex-RBD Maite Perroni co-starred in Cuidado Con El Angel with William Levy and Latino press swore by Shanti Ananda that these two were doing it. It was so bad that even Maite's then boyfriend tried to put a stop to 'em rumors. It probably didn't help that William's ex-assistant told TvNotas that William had slept with over 40 women and that Maite was William's "amor de su vida."
2) Levy The Cradle Robber
The Karla Alvarez saga must have been particularly tough on Elizabeth and, to her credit, she took it like a trooper by not saying a word.
In case you don't remember, Karla was the underage intern that accused William of forcing a blowjob on her. Then she posed like the true MySpace ho she is and TvNotas published the images.
The best part of that whole thing was watching Levy's hilarious gringo lawyer give interviews to the Latino press — in Spanish!
Again, Elizabeth took that shit like Hilary Clinton and never said a word.
3) William Levy — A Loca?
This one is far-fetched and we're really just looking for a reason to bring up William's hot gay kiss with David Zepeda but still; this can happen! Elizabeth Gutierrez is a beautiful woman, right? So why would William cheat on her? Maybe because she doesn't have what William really needs: pinga. And seriously, if your man is going to leave your ass wouldn't it be better that it be for another man? It's a little more dignified because, as a woman, you can't compete with a man — you don't have a penis. If your man leaves you for another woman it's probably because he doesn't like your personality or whatever.
Or he's just really promiscuous.
4) Career Jealousy
Lately William has been moving on up in the world: he scored the above music video with JLo, he appeared on the Real Housewives of Miami, and, if random gossip is to be believed, he's about to "take over" Hollywood.
Well, Elizabeth used to be somebody, too. She was getting magazine covers all by herself. But ever since Elizabeth married William and had kids, she's gone from having her own moderate career to being some lady in Miami who's married to a hot Latino. Could Elizabeth be tired of William getting all the attention? Has she decided that being a bored housewife ain't her thing? Maybe.
5) A New Jenni On The Block
Maybe none of the above has anything to do with William and Elizabeth's breakup. Maybe some new 19-year-old puta has everything to do with their separation.
You see, William is currently filming Trinufo De Amor in Mexico City. It's a new novela that Levy is co-starring in with Cuauhtemoc Blanco but apparently William missed some of his scheduled tapings. Todo Para La Mujer's host Maxine Woodside said a reliable source in Miami is certain that William is hooking up with a still-unknown 19-year-old temptress. William supposedly took this little home-wrecker to Cancun and thus missed work.
And you know what? All the signs have been there. Just look over to your left at the cover of last September's TvYNovelas where Levy was busted leaving a strip club. Was this a sign of things to come? No, not a sign — just cold, hard, in-your-face facts.
