Naya Rivera: an American actress and singer

Naya Marie Rivera (born January 12, 1987) is an American actress and singer known for her role in the musical comedy television series Glee, as cheerleader Santana Lopez.

Rivera was raised in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California and has lived in or around Los Angeles for most of her life. Rivera is of half Puerto Rican, quarter African American, and quarter German descent. At eight or nine months old, she began to be represented by the same talent agent as her mother, who had moved to Los Angeles to pursue modeling

As a baby, Rivera appeared in commercials for Kmart, but her first significant acting job was at the age of four when she starred as Hillary Winston in the Eddie Murphy produced sitcom The Royal Family in 1991 The show received positive reviews and high ratings initially, but when star Redd Foxx suffered a sudden heart attack on set the show never recovered and was soon canceled. Nonetheless, Rivera received a Young Artist Award nomination for her performance.

Between 1992 and 2002, she had small roles in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, Live Shot, Baywatch, Smart Guy, The Jersey, House Blend, Even Stevens and The Master of Disguise. In 2002 she also appeared in the music video for B2K's "Why I Love You". She was hired for a single-episode guest appearance on The Bernie Mac Show in 2002, but was brought back to work on a further five episodes. She was later featured in single episodes of 8 Simple Rules and CSI: Miami. In between auditions and roles, Rivera worked odd jobs as a telemarketer, a nanny and an greeter at an Abercrombie & Fitch store.

In 2006 and 2007 Rivera took part in a production of Mark E. Swinton's award-winning play "U Don't Know Me: The Musical", both in Los Angeles and when the production was taken on national tour.

In 2009, Rivera was cast as Cheerios cheerleading squad member Santana Lopez on Fox's musical comedy series Glee, about a high school glee club. Rivera's character comes off as a cold-hearted and vicious cheerleader, who often shows her softer side to fellow cheerleader Brittany (played by Heather Morris). Rivera auditioned for the opportunity "to sing, dance and act all in the same show," and because she was a fan of co-creator Ryan Murphy's previous work on Nip/Tuck.

Rivera drew on her own high school experience of unpopularity to prepare for the role, as well as watching films such as Mean Girls to "really get in the zone and feel like a bitchy Sophomore". She has described Santana as "your typical high school cheerleader, for the most part," explaining: "She's really mean and loves boys. She's really witty so I love playing her." She has characterized Santana as "a bit of a bad girl" who is "really snarky and always has these really witty one-liners she throws out there." Rivera enjoys the fact Santana is competitive and headstrong as she herself shares those traits, but dislikes Santana's mean streak. She finds the show's pacing challenging, especially the dancing, and commented in June 2009 that her most memorable moment on Glee was performing the Cheerios' glee club audition piece, "I Say a Little Prayer". Santana played a more prominent part in the last nine episodes of Glee's first season. Rivera commented: "Santana's been wreaking havoc with people's boyfriends and people's babies and teachers—she's the high school terror, and she's going to continue to be the villain."

After having her screen time and musical involvement increased throughout Season 1, Rivera was promoted to official series regular status for season two due to positive fan response. She was given her first solo in the fifth episode of season two, The Rocky Horror Glee Show, and performed several others as the season progressed. During Season 2 Rivera's role in the show was radically changed when it was revealed that her character was a lesbian. Rivera portrayed Santana struggling to come to terms with her sexuality, with her love for her best friend, and with her inability to come out of the closet. She received favorable reviews for her performance.

In 2010, Rivera made the Maxim Hot 100 list, coming in at number 61. The following year, she was ranked number 43. On the 2011 AfterEllen Hot 100 list she was ranked #1.

In January 2011 Rivera appeared in a parody of Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang, called "Nuthin' But a Glee Thang", co-written by her friend Heather Morris.

In May of 2011, it was announced that Rivera had signed a deal with Columbia Records to produce a solo album. Also in May, Rivera hosted the San Francisco GLAAD Media Awards.

During the 2011 Glee Tour, Rivera teamed up with Amber Riley for the duet "River Deep, Mountain High" and performed solo on "Valerie" as well as lending back-up vocals to several other songs.

In July of 2011, Rivera was nominated for two ALMA awards, in the categories of "Favorite Female Music Artist" and "Favorite TV Actress - Leading Role in a Comedy".

Rivera is an avid reader and dedicates time to various charitable organizations. She took up songwriting at the age of 15. According to Rivera, "My passion for music is one of my greatest loves." Rivera has stated that if she could not act or sing she would work as a writer. She has completed several screenplays and television scripts. Like on Glee, Rivera is best friends in real life with co-star Heather Morris.

Litzy: a Mexican-born actress and singer

Litzy Vanya Domínguez Balderas (better known as Litzy) is a Mexican-born actress and singer. She is known for having been in the Mexican singing group Jeans, and for her ("always" protagonist) roles in Telenovelas: Televisa's DKDA Sueños de Juventude, Telemundo's Daniela and Amarte Asi, Venevisión-with-Univisión's Pecadora and Azteca [Mexico] TV's Quiéreme Tonto, retitled simply Quiéreme. Probably her most successful recent song is "La Rosa." She sang the entrada song (opening theme song) for both Daniela ("Sobreviveré") and Amarte Asi ("Amarte Asi"). She also has recorded a theme song entitled "Pecadora" for Pecadora. However, as recently aired, the telenovela is not using that song for its entrada. Amarte Asi has also been aired with a different title, Frijolito. It is also notable that Litzy won a sort of acting-contest reality show run by Telemundo entitled Protagonistas de la Fama. Apparently her winning of that contest landed her the starring role in Amarte Así. She also was the star of Daniela, and recently starred in Pecadora and Quiéreme Tonto (2010).

Litzy's latest telenovela being aired in the USA as of July, 2010, is Pecadora (a remake of Como en el Cine) having been aired by TCTelevisión Ecuador, JustinTV.com, and Univision.

Documentation for Litzy and Pecadora can be found at the Amarte-Asi forum of Telenovela-World.com.

After making Amarte Así, Litzy studied acting in Los Angeles for the better part of a year, evidently with the desire to do acting in Hollywood, a desire not fulfilled. After acting school, she has been credited with roles in three obscure Mexican movie titles before obtaining her role in Pecadora: "Vestidos y Otras Anécdotas," a short movie entitled "Subversiòn Total" (2007), and "Borderline (2009/II)

Pablo Montero: a popular Mexican singer and actor

Pablo Montero (born August 23, 1974)[1] is a popular Mexican singer and actor.

Montero was born Oscar Daniel Hernández Rodríguez in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico.

From about 2000 to 2003, Montero had a relationship with Aracely Arámbula.

In 2006, there were rumors about a possible romance with his costar in Duelo de pasiones, Ludwika Paleta, who is married to Mexican actor Plutarco Haza. Montero and Paleta denied the rumors until a video was made public in which they were seen making out. This is said to have caused Ludwika Paleta's separation from her husband. Paleta and Plutarco Haza later reconciled.

On August 31, 2007 two days after Montero presented the nominees for the 2007 Latin Grammy Awards, Miami Police reported that they stopped Montero and a passenger after his white BWM SUV ran a red light. During the investigation, police reported discovering a clear bag that tested positive for cocaine, which Montero claimed as his. However in court the following month, Montero pleaded not guilty to cocaine possession, was found guilty, and was sentenced to probation, pending completion of a drug court program. Montero was jailed in 2008 for violating the terms of his probation but released on the condition that he complete a drug rehabilitation program. On Friday, February 20, 2009, Montero graduated from his drug treatment program.

He has a son, Pablo, born in 2007, with the actress Sandra Vidal.

In June 2010 his brother Oliver was murdered in an attempted robbery.

Known for his use of "charro" hats and black clothing during his concerts, he is a teen idol and paparazzi favorite in Mexico. He is also well known in the rest of Latin America, Australia, Europe, and the Hispanic community of the United States.

When Montero was a teenager, he had his first professional singing job as the lead singer of a group named "Trébol", which had a number one hit titled "Si tu Supieras" ("If You Knew"), a song that was later sung by Alejandro Fernández for the soap opera titled Maria Isabel, where Adela Noriega and Fernando Carrillo starred as the protagonists.

Montero opted for a career as a solo artist shortly after this, struggling in local bars and clubs until he got his big break in 1999 when his album Donde Estas, Corazon? (Where Are You, My Heart?) became the number one album on Mexico's charts. The album's success launched his image as a "ranchera hunk" and led to his acting debut in Vivo Por Elena (I Live for Elena), where he played a struggling young singer. This was followed by acting roles in Nunca te Olvidaré (I Will Never Forget You), Abrázame muy Fuerte (Hold me Tight), Rebecca, and Entre El Amor y El Odio.

His 2000 album, the self-titled Pablo Montero produced the number one hit "Que Voy a Hacer sin Ti?" ("What am I Going to do Without You?"). In 2001, Montero joined other artists invited to the White House South Lawn for a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, where he serenaded First Lady Laura Bush. Pablo Montero was followed by 2002's "Pidemelo Todo" ("Ask Me for Everything"), which also included a number one hit single in "Hay Otra en tu Lugar" ("There's Another One in Your Place"). Also in this latter album was the great hit to the soap opera Gata Salvaje, which was titled the same as the soap opera and reached the top ten list on the charts. Later this year he was honored in Australia for his acting as Martin in Rebecca. He has composed the songs for various shows including Olvidarte Jamas, Gata Salvaje, La Revancha, Abrazame Muy Fuerte, Duelo de Pasiones and the controversial movie El Crimen del Padre Amaro.

Montero spent most of 2003 touring and preparing an album which was dedicated to legendary Mexican singer Javier Solis. This album hit the markets later in the year and was well received on a national level. He was involved in a scandal during 2003 because he had apparently not paid his employees during instances that he had not required them, such as when he was on tour, and then fired them when they demanded payment. He lost the case and was forced to pay them a settlement.

In 2005, Montero signed a recording contract with Univision Records. In that year, he released his first album for Univision Records, "A Toda Ley."

In 2005, he was featured in an ad campaign by clothing company Hanes with the slogan "Mira quien tiene Hanes" ("Look who we've got our Hanes on now"). He and Aracely Arámbula were both featured in the Spanish language version of the campaign.
